I am listing a really RARE Colt Officers Model (HEAVY BARREL) (Colt say's the HEAVY BARREL in the Colt officers Model is really scarce)---But get this--I got this pistol from a guy who got the gun from his uncle...His uncle had this gun presented to him in the 1950's for his service in the US ARMY Special Forces....So this makes this pistol extrmely RARE on top of it being a Colt RARE Heavy barrel Officers model 38--The gun is in mint shape!!!(Serial number on the pistol is 787998-- The grips are gabon ebony w/heartwood grips they would cost $150-$200 to make today. These Colt grips were specially made with the Presidents Great Seal in each grip where the Colt Horse Logo is usually placed--It comes with a presentation case with patch and medal--The Presidents great seal is proudly displayed on the outside of the pistols presentation case!!! Bore is mint and shinny--Small turn line on the cylinder--May or May not have been test fired?? I can't tell by looking?? But this pistol is a really rare bird and I have no ideal what it may be worth? Tks for looking and bidding on this rare piece of history--I accept Cashier's checks or US Postal Mobney orders!!
